Frequently asked questions

What counts as an annotation?

Anything layered on top of the page rather than part of its content: sticky notes, highlights, underlines, freehand ink, shapes, stamps, and text callouts. Form fields and hyperlinks are technically annotations too, which is why this tool lets you choose whether to keep them.

Can I keep my form fields and links?

Yes. The default 'Comments & markup' mode removes review markup but keeps interactive form fields and links working. Choose 'Everything' only when you want a completely clean page with no interactive elements at all.

Does this remove text that was added with the editor?

No. Text, images and shapes drawn into the page content stay. This tool removes the separate annotation layer — the comments and markup reviewers add — not the document content itself.

Is it done privately?

Yes. Removal runs entirely in your browser, so the document never leaves your device.
