Any of them. The file is stored byte-for-byte inside the PDF; the reader offers it back for saving.
In the attachments panel of the reader (a paperclip icon in most), not on the page. That is also why many people never notice a PDF is carrying them - our Extract Attachments tool pulls them back out.
It grows by roughly the size of what you attach, which is compressed where the content allows.
